Job Description

Zenith People are working with our client who are looking for an experienced Machine Shop Team Leader on a permanent basis. This is a hands on role and we are looking for candidates with a Machining Background. Duties Include

  • Meeting the needs of customers, ensuring that each product or service is delivered cost-effectively, speedily and to the highest quality.
  • Fulfilling own responsibilities within the current Health and Safety and Employment Law.
  • Provide support to all members of staff to aid in fulfilling their duties and responsibilities.
  • Liaise with your Team or Manager to resolve any persistent or unresolved problems encountered.
  • Report immediately to your Manager with any Health & Safety regulations which you think may be potentially breached.
  • Set a good example when supporting management and implementing change.
  • Provide any feedback with your views, ideas, improvements, and concerns to the Management Team.
The Person we are looking for
  • Time served Engineer/Machinist/Toolmaker with a proven track record in the relevant industry equipment with experience.
  • A hands-on role responsible for leading a small machining team of manual turners and a CNC Mill operator.
  • Work on a variety of components as required.
  • Liaise with the Works Manager to ensure alignment/adherence of the production schedule.
  • Responsible for driving the team to improve knowledge, work ethic, efficiency, culture, and productivity.
  • To review and improve process & procedures accordingly with management.
  • Adhere to all QHSE practices.
  • The ability to read and work to engineering drawings.
  • Working within a multi skilled team producing product to strict industry quality standards and accreditations.
  • To achieve timely production of parts to pre-determined deadlines.
  • Flexible approach to tasks.
