    • Mon to Thurs 06:0014:30 and Friday 06:0013:30

THE BUSINESSOur client is a globally expanding auto parts supplier. Their customers are auto manufacturers and auto part unit (equipment) manufacturers. Since their beginnings nearly 70 years ago they have established various new business locations across the globeto supply high-quality auto parts. They are a key part of the local supply chain supplying high-quality auto parts from their base in Tyne and Wear.THE ROLEThe position will be a Line Feed & Warehouse Associate supporting the Warehouse Manager ensuring order picking processes are carried out as per the operators instructions and warehouse work instructions. The other part of the role is supporting the LineFeed Team Leader ensuring the line feed process is carried out as per the operators instructions and procedures.
  • Liaising with customers both internal and external
  • Book in new stock and allocate to correct location using the warehouse systems
  • Ensure all stock is allocated to the correct location at the customers site
  • Annotate and check relevant inventory cards with the correct information
  • Maintain high levels of housekeeping within all warehouse locations at both the client and customers sites
  • Follow company processes and procedures at all times keeping in line with current Health & Safety policies
  • Assist the Warehouse manager with maintenance of all warehouse areas and report damage/accidents
  • Assist the Line Feed Team Leader to co-ordinate all line feed operations.
  • Carry out any other reasonable task requested by your Warehouse manager or Line Feed team leader in their absence
THE PERSONYou would be required to work with minimum supervision and adopt a positive and proactive approach supporting the team leader with all warehouse and line feed functions. A professional and courteous manner is essential as the line feeding is a customer facingrole. You will maintain and form good relationships with customers and due to their working patterns, flexibility to do overtime and weekend work is a requirement for the role.
  • Warehouse & Line Feed experience and knowledge of procedures
  • 7.5-ton vehicle driving licence (desirable)
  • Reach Fork/Counterbalance fork lift licence (desirable)
  • Tow tractor licence (desirable)
  • Good literacy and Numeracy skills
  • You must be willing to undertake any necessary training required for the role
