The Company:Nigel Wright Supply Chain and Procurement team are pleased to be supporting a successful manufacturing business in recruiting for an Inventory Controller to join their expanding team.Working as part of a successful team, you will play an integral part in the efficient control of products and ultimately the ongoing success of the business.It is a great opportunity to join a fantastic business offering prospects to progress a career in a manufacturing environment and an expanding business.The Role:Working within the inventory team and reporting into the Team Manager, you will be responsible for:•Raising intercompany warehouse orders and external purchase orders, through daily ERP ordering.•Managing special project/contract orders that cannot be handled by ERP. Liaising with Customer Services and/or Business Development managers.•Ensuring the ERP system is being used correctly in respect of inventory management and that all inventory parameters are correct and regularly reviewed.•Liaising with our Customer Services Department on special Made to Order products.•Receipting of goods inward: Checking delivery note and other paperwork is in full.•Dealing with incoming queries both supplier and internal.•Reviewing daily stock reports to identify stock shortages, and potential stock shortages.•Communicate anticipated stock due dates internally, using MS Teams, and other internal systems.•Reviewing open orders with both intercompany and external suppliers to ensure orders are fulfilled within agreed lead times.The Person:The business is looking for an adaptable, strong communicator, team player, preferably from a construction/manufacturing background but not essential, ideally with a good level of experience in inventory control.The successful candidate needs to be able to provide strong support for the team, not fazed by a new challenge and able to learn quickly.They are looking for a strong character, organised and efficient and able to work closely within a team.This business invests heavily into staff welfare, organising team days and team engagement sessions to ensure that staff feel valued and satisfied.
