Job Description

WHAT COMPANY YOU WILL BE WORKING FORWestray Recruitment Consultants is looking to recruit a Time Served Electrically Biased Maintenance Technician for our high-volume manufacturing client based in Washington, Tyne & Wear. The role centres on a 2-shift pattern of day and back shift. This role is temp to perm following a successful probation period.We are seeking an individual is able to deliver electrical planned and reactive maintenance to production-based machinery.WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

  • Delivering planned and breakdown maintenance to high volume manufacturing machinery
  • Ensuring all electrical work is completed in accordance to H&S protocol and industry expected standards
  • Electrical fault finding and diagnostic work
  • Working with PLC systems
  • Reacting quickly to breakdowns, communicating clearly with affected parties and working efficiently to fix the issue
  • Ensuring maintenance records are kept up to date
  • Being involved in New Product or Equipment development where appropriate
  • Maintenance of hydraulic, mechanical, electrical and control systems
  • Troubleshooting and fault diagnosis of hydraulic, mechanical, electrical and control systems
  • Displaying multi skilling to perform mechanical duties
    • WHAT EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION
  • Time Served - College/Apprentice Level 3 Trained in desired trade or discipline, must be electrical.
  • Having sound manual skills and an interest or ability to work with electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems
  • Having a natural ability to apply care and attention to detail and be able to adhere to health and safety requirements.
  • Experience working within a fast paced, high volume production environment
    • WHAT ARE THE FINER DETAILS OF YOUR ROLEThis is a temp to perm position following a successful probation period. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 7am-3pm & 3pm-11pm (rotating week to week). The role comes with an early finish on a Friday and centres on a 40-hr weekWHAT SALARY PACKAGE YOU WILL BE RECEIVINGThe role pays £13.87 for 2 shifts and comes with readily available overtime paid at enhanced rates of time & ½ & double time.FANCY A CHATPlease apply for this position and your CV will go direct to our Engineering Manager Tony Hutchinson who is leading the search.
