Job Description

About the role:We are the internal recruitment team for a local well established, family owned, manufacturing company within the events industry.Due to the growth and success, we have an exciting opportunity for an Exhibition Stand Builder to join our busy and dedicated team.We are looking for an experienced carpenter / joiner to join the team, whilst expert knowledge of the exhibition and events industry is not essential, candidates must have either carpentry and joinery, painting and decorating or an electrical trade background.We work to a high level of specifications, constructing basic components such as: platform floors and wall panels etc. However, we also create customised products and features for stands such as counters, product displays and all manner of unique features.Once production is complete you will be required to deliver and install the products at the event/exhibition venue nationally and globally, which will require staying away.RequirementsWho we are looking for:To be successful, applicants will have to demonstrate the following:

Experienced in carpentry / joinery, painting and decorating or electrics
Ability to use initiative
Highly organised with a keen eye for detail is essential.
Ability to work well as part of a team
Good communication skills with the ability to deal with clients face to face.
Hold a full clean driving licence; van driving up to 3500kg is required.
Maintain the highest standards of work, quality, and health & safety.
Physically able to lift heavy objects and handle power tools

BenefitsIn return we are offering

Up to £30,000 dependent on skills, knowledge and experience
Working hours - Monday to Friday 8am - 430pm
Overtime will be available as per business needs (paid at time and a half)
28 days annual leave including bank holidays
