Job Description

Wedding PlannerLocation: Warwick Castle, WarwickHours: Full time, due the nature of our business you may you will be required to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.Benefits: We offer fantastic benefits including a Merlin Magic Pass, allowing you to take family and friends to visit Merlin Attractions for free, 40% discount on LEGO booked online, 25% off in our retail shops and restaurants and much more!An amazing opportunity has arisen to join the team at the UKs most exciting Castle, home to the UKs largest birds of prey show The Falconers Quest and host to a number of spectacular Attractions and Events such as Dragon Slayer, Oktoberfest, The HauntedCastle, Music Concerts and Christmas at the Castle which includes an ice rink and light show.About the roleThe Wedding Plannerwill plan and oversee the operational delivery of Weddings and Events. Taking ownership of the entire process from the point of sale to the successful delivery of magical and memorable experiences.The role is responsible for effective communication with both the Attractions and Events team and the Sales and Marketing department to maximise profitability, guest satisfaction and employee care whilst maintaining a safe and healthy environment adheringto food safety, health and hygiene and health and safety regulations.About you

  • Experience in an events co-ordination role HIGHLY DESIRABLE
  • Experience in planning and delivering Weddings is a MUST!
  • To liaise confidently with potential clients in selling Weddings and Corporate events, arranging and coordinating meetings and appointments where required.
  • To deliver knowledgeable information on all the Castle has to offer.
  • Excellent Customer Service.
  • Strong Attention to Detail.
  • To have high level administration skills and be confident using IT systems including excel and in-house booking systems.
  • Overseeing stock takes and reordering of supplies.
  • To prepare event-related documents throughout the events process, ie. quotations, running orders, suppliers, event function sheets.
  • To be able to coordinate internally with all departments within the Castle.
  • To be a team player but also to work independently and able to make own decisions.
  • People management experience.
