Student Health Visitor Band 5Location: Various locations across CoventryFull Time – Fixed term contract February 2021 until February 2022South Warwickshire Foundation Trust is a caring, innovative organisation. We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for Registered Nurses or Registered Midwives to develop their career by undertaking the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) Health Visiting course with practical placements in specified areas across Coventry.We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, reflective practitioners who are passionate about improving health outcomes for children and families. You will be a caring professional with an interest in public health and a genuine desire to promote the needs of the child. You must be motivated to learn, be keen to develop your leadership skills and committed to providing safe, high quality and compassionate care. It is imperative that applicants are confident with IT, and agile working including working from home due to our service delivery adaptations because of Covid 19. We have been creative about service delivery and have maintained contact with our clients via various digital platforms, it is expected that applicants will be using MSTeams, video calls, Zoom calls and feel comfortable and confident with these. Throughout the duration of the course you will be provided with guidance and learning opportunities from a Practice Assessor and Practice Supervisors who will support you to develop the necessary skills required of a SCPHN (Health Visitor) this support will be offered in a combination of face to face and other digital platforms .Applications are invited from registered nurses (all fields) and registered midwives with 2 years post registration experience and evidence of continued professional development. You must have a current NMC registration, possess a full driving license and have access to a vehicle for the duration of the training. The course will commence in February 2021 and is offered in partnership with Birmingham City University on a full time basis only (37.5 hours per week).Sponsorship will be paid at Band 5 salary for the duration of the course.Successful completion of the course will lead to registration on Part 3 of the NMC register, an NMC recordable qualification and eligibility to apply for a position as a Health Visitor.
