* Grantham, Craigavon, or Warwick based*We have recently announced the creation of Pilgrims Shared Services, a fourth stand-alone company, which will bring together some of the support functions of our current three businesses (Moy Park, excluding France and Netherlands, Pilgrims UK & PilgrimsFood Masters). Its purpose is to deliver a high-quality shared service to those three businesses.As the business grows, this shared service will broaden opportunities for career development as part of a far larger organisation. We will also continue our investment in technology to drive efficiencies and improved ways of working.The Shared Services company includes a dedicated Procurement function. Reporting to the Senior Buyer - Indirects, we are pleased to advise that we are now recruiting for a Buyer - Indirects.Job PurposeA strategically focused role with responsibility for the management of spend across a range of categories within the Indirects spend portfolio across the Group. A Buyer will lead as a commercial representative working in a cross-functional environment, deliveringagainst agreed challenging targets: driving efficiencies and change, ensuring best total cost of ownership whilst minimising risk.Key Responsibilities* Develop and manage supplier contracts for areas of Indirects spend.* Develop sourcing strategies for each sub-category.* Identify cost savings through spend analysis and benchmarking/tender processes, new technology, alternative suppliers, non-traditional sources v traditional sources etc.* Utilise E-Procurement tool for managing tendering and benchmarking processes, including contract negotiations.* Work within and lead cross functional teams to understand and define business requirements and deliver value-adding projects.* Develop Risk Management & Business Continuity Plans with key suppliers.* Drive improvements in supplier quality and service through SRM programmes.* Forecast and understand major commodity price trends.What Youll Need* A Procurement background, with knowledge of Procurement processes and principles.* Hold a driving license and flexible to travel as required.* Proficient in supplier benchmarking and tender process.* Experience in contract negotiations.* Effective communication, influencing and teamwork skills.* Strong analytical and numeracy skills.* Proven project management and implementation skills* Self-motivated and driven to continuously improve.* Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office suite.Desirable* CIPS or currently studying towards.* Previous experience in a fresh, FMCG business.* Knowledge of Marketing & IT categories.* Experience of category management principles.* Experience of eProcurement systems.* Interested in improving sustainability within the supply base.* Familiar with SAP and data analytic tools (e.g. Qlik, Power BI).Whats in it for you* Competitive salary & employee benefits platform.* Matched pension contributions.* Access to the employee assistance program.* Flexible, hybrid working environment.Why Join Pilgrims Shared ServiceOur values are at the heart of our business and drive everything we do.
