Job Description

Role: Project ManagerSalary: ExcellentLocation: WarwickHours: Flexi timeCore hours of work: 09.00 to 12.00 and 13.30 to 15.30Car / Car allowance: Applicable following successful completion of training periodBenefits:

Bonus scheme : 15% of salaryThe Business:
  • This group which operates on a global scale has a 100 year plus trading history. The UK sites are heavy involved in many sectors including Automotive, supplying OEMs like Bentley, Nissan, BMW, Toyota, JLR, Rolls Royce etc
The Role:
  • Overseeing the design / purchase / installation / commission of large scale equipment on customer site s
  • Equipment includes: Conveyors, large ovens, booths, steelworks, platforms, HVAC
  • Customers are UK based, Liverpool, Bedfordshire, Warwickshire, Norwich etc
  • Running multiple projects valued between £3m - £7m
Overall Objectives
  • Responsible for the completion of Projects within budget, on time and to an acceptable level of quality, while conforming to company policies and procedures.
  • To report to the Head of Tech/Ops on all aspects of project progress and cost control.
Key Skills Required:
  • Being able to manage multiple projects
  • Experience with refurbishments and modification work
  • Customer facing experience
  • Planning ability - to manage, implement, validate and produce timing plans for project work.
  • Communication skills / People management skills
  • Management of project cost control
Key Result Areas
  • Establish key customer contacts, develop and maintain a good working relationship.
  • Obtain customer/materials/process sign off.
  • Clarify terms and conditions of contract and scope of supply.
  • Ensure Project Team is established.
  • Define and communicate to the Project Team, their roles and responsibilities, their available hours to perform their tasks and the available budgets for their work packages.
  • Develop, monitor and manage the detailed project timing plan.
  • Validate project estimate and update as necessary to provide basis for cost control.
  • Prepare and monitor/update project cash flow plan.
  • Provide monthly updates of , highlighting movements in outlook, cost to complete and margin. Give detailed presentation of project commercial position at Monthly Project Review Meetings. Provide PoC forecasts for each quarter and update regularly. Whereapplicable, review and confirm content of monthly Project Cockpit Charts.
  • Manage project Change Management Control system (PCRs, CCRs, EWRs) as per Project Management Process.
  • Produce Bi-Weekly reportage of project progress highlighting escalation issues in line with current template.
