Job Description

Part Time Payroll Specilist, Warwick -paying up to 15.38phPart time hours. either 9am to 3pm /or Monday to Wednesday 9am to 5pmOur client is a recognised global leader for the supply of equipment and services across the Logistics Industry and retail sector.Job Description The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the UK and Ireland payrolls are processed on time, accurately and in compliance with our Company payroll policies and processes.You will be first line point of contact for all payroll related matters for our employees and for other departments (e.g. Finance, HR, Team Leaders, etc)Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day to day administration of weekly and monthly payrolls for approximately 700 employees through the use of the Groups payroll software (Ceridian Dayforce).
  • Managing the Payroll inbox and ensure all queries are resolved quickly and efficiently.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports to allow payments to employees and third parties
  • Support Accounts department to ensure all journals are posted with BACS in time for payroll submission
  • Administer HMRC RTI submissions and complete all annual HMRC payroll reporting requirements including P35, P60 and P11D returns
  • Submit all HMRC requirements to deal efficiently with HMRC correspondence, including tax code amendments
  • Administer SMP, SPP, SSP, salary sacrifice, court orders, childcare vouchers and other payroll deductions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Liaise with external parties including HMRC, Courts, Student Loan companies etc.
  • Process benefits such as car allowances, bonuses and holiday payments
  • Process and maintain relevant pension schemes
  • Continual improvement of payroll systems and processes
  • Carry out payroll reconciliations and analysis
  • To liaise with HMRC and assist with enquiries
  • Day to day management of the team
  • To ensure data security and confidentiality
  • Manage system updates to address any payroll queries in a timely manner and make any necessary adjustments to processes to avoid a repeat of issues
Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience of administering and processing multi-site, weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls
  • Demonstrate up to date knowledge of current payroll legislation and is confident in using payroll software
  • Great attention to detail
  • Organise own work and prioritises own tasks
  • Organisation and planning of payroll processes including year-end and bulk pay changes
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and a high concern for accuracy
  • Personable, with excellent communication skills (both written and oral) with clients and staff
  • Good numeracy skills
