Job Description

Homeless Service Manager Required Duration:3 months Possibility of extensionLocation:WarwickshireHours:37.5hrsPay Rate: £250 - £349 day rate (dependant on experience)An opening has arisen for a Homeless Service Manager to work within a Local Authority within Warwickshire. Said individual shall need experience of managing a small team.The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • To oversee the effective day-to-day management of the direct access hostel and other allocated temporary accommodation, including admissions, repairs and maintenance, customer behaviours and onsite support services to ensure that the service is available24 hours a day, seven days a week
  • To manage the staff at the direct access hostel and other allocated staff, including recruitment and selection, induction, performance monitoring, mentoring, support, training and development.
  • To liaise with other internal and external providers in Warwick district and secure necessary specialist support for individual clients in order to help them to progress towards long-term accommodation
  • To ensure sound financial management of budgets under the managers control, authorising and ensuring payments for services delivered to and received by the hostel
  • Keep records of the work, monitor and review the performance of the service, in compliance with financial and operational criteria and report regularly to the Housing Advice & Allocations Manager
  • To ensure that other Council-owned temporary homeless accommodation is managed in accordance with defined procedures including regular visits, inspections and risk assessments and ensure that accurate records are kept
The successful candidate will have:
  • An Enhanced DBS
  • Previous experience working in this position
  • Full licence with access to a vehicle
