Job Description

Womenswear Buyer, Merchandising, Buying Strategist, Sales, Marketing, Retail, Permanent, WarringtonWomenswear BuyerA branded fashion / sportswear business in Warrington is looking for a Womenswear Buyer to join their team.Key Duties/Responsibilities:Buying

  • Lead and develop the Womenswear Buying Strategy
  • Source a portfolio of fashion, fitness and streetwear brands across the categories of footwear, apparel and accessories
  • Identify new brands, product opportunities and gaps within the range and price architecture
  • Purchase products through a combination of forward orders, clearance offers and SMU opportunities
  • In conjunction with the Merchandising team, manage the Seasonal & NOS Range Plan
  • Negotiate supplier terms, discounts and marketing support where applicable
  • Regularly review competitors; product offer, promotions and pricing
  • Attend buying appointments and key industry trade fares and events. Follow and incorporate relevant seasonal trends
  • In conjunction with the marketing team, identify and develop customer profiles
  • Manage PO creation, and ensure the timely and accurate delivery and payment of stock
  • Oversee the management of samples, product copy, photography and Go Lives
Trading
  • Key KPIs; sales, profit, intake margin, contribution, cover, and aged stock
  • In conjunction with the Merchandising team; manage the budget, OTB and WISSI
  • Identify and place repeat buys for best sellers
  • In conjunction with the Merchandising team; oversee pricing, aged stock, seasonal sales and terminal stock. Action markdowns where applicable
  • Work closely with the Marketing team for campaigns, promotions, asset planning, social media and affiliate programmes. Review and analyse campaign results
  • Liaise with the Market Place team to plan and support promotions for additional retail channels including Amazon and eBay
Skills and Experience of Womenswear Buyer
  • Experience in buying within the fashion and sportswear industry
  • Existing brand relationships and connections within the industry
  • Strong supplier stakeholder management skills and experience
  • Strong interest and enthusiasm for the fashion, sports and footwear industries.
  • Highly analytical
  • Highly professional, an outstanding communicator, and have strong networking skills
  • Show initiative, motivated and can work independently
  • Organised & efficient
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate good judgement and strong decision-making skills
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to make strong commercial decisions
  • Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft software
Teamwork
  • Reporting to TBC
  • Work closely with the Senior Management, Merchandising and Finance team
  • Build effective relationships across the broader GTL team; Marketing, Market Places, Customer Service and the Warehouse
