Role:- Toolroom MachinistLocation :- Warrington (WA1 4QT)Contract :- Temp - PermHrs :- Mon-Fri days (Rotating shift pattern)Salary :- £19.00 p/h starting rate.Purpose of the Role:-Our client, a specialist in precision engineering are seeking an experienced Toolroom Machinist. Reporting to the Tooling Team Leader you will be responsible for following operations safely, efficiently and in accordance with programmed requirements and in reaction to production machine breakdowns as well as providing in-house tooling requirements to ensure manufacturing outputs are maintained.As a Toolroom Machinist your duties will be :" Carry out operations in a safe and efficient manner and in accordance with programmed requirements." Reacting to production machine breakdowns including ;Machining- Milling & Turning.Grinding- Surface grinding & Cylindrical grinding.Honing & Spark Erosion.Filing, Drilling & Sawing." Maintain a strong focus on quality of work." Following Health & Safety regulations at all times.The successful Toolroom Machinist will have the following skills and experience :-" Must have completed a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship." Minimum five years experience within a tooling environment, accustomed to working to close tolerances." HNC level Engineering qualification." Experienced in all aspects of grinding (Surface/ Cylindrical/ Centreless)" Proven bench work skills (Filing/ Drilling/ Sawing etc.)" Ability to read and understand all types of British standard tool drawings." Competent user of all measuring equipment." A good team- player.Candidates must be flexible to working hours of a three shift working pattern of 6-2, 2-10 and nights.
