Job Description

Temporary Bookkeeper

  • Duration: Minimum 4 weeks to cover sickness
  • Start Date: April 15th, 2024
  • Hours:8:30 am - 4:30 pm (3:45 pm finish on Thursdays)
  • Location: Newton Le Willows
Responsibilities:- Utilise Sage 50 for accurate bookkeeping tasks- Manage purchase ledger, including processing invoices and payments- Generate and monitor Purchase Orders (POs) as needed- Maintain and reconcile Petty Cash- Conduct weekly payment runs in accordance with company procedures- Act as the Point of Contact (POC) for finance-related queriesQualifications:- Proven experience with Sage 50 accounting software- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices- Ability to manage purchase ledger, POs, and Petty Cash efficiently- Experience with processing weekly payment runs- Excellent communication skills to serve as the main point of contact for finance inquiriesAdditional Information:- This is a temporary position to cover for a staff member on sick leave.- The role requires attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work independently to maintain financial records accurately.Required skills
