As a Supplier Manager, you will take the lead in managing 10-15 complex,medium cost and business risk assessed strategic suppliers. You’ll be responsible for ensuring seamless collaboration, management of suppliers and complex tenders, driving significant savings and benefits throughout the contract lifecycle.In joining us, you will have full exposure to the organisation, our major projects and our largest industry partners. Stakeholder collaboration is vital for this role. You will therefore need to build strong working relationships, manage key internal andexternal stakeholders effectively and ensure a full business partnering model, whilst maximising value, collaborating with other experts and leading initiatives to tackle challenges unique to our industry, contributing to our success and helping us achieveour objectives.We champion flexible ways of working.   • Supplier Management: Oversee 10 to 15 complex, multi-million pound suppliers, utilising Supplier Management Framework. Foster relationship development, develop joint account plans, monitor governance, and drive benefits and savings.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with Market Management, Sourcing teams, and other relevant stakeholders within the senior leadership team.
  • Value, Savings and Benefits Delivery: Continuously achieve significant savings and benefits throughout the contract lifecycle.Manage contract variations and resolve commercial disputes. Drive overall cost, risk, relationship, innovation,and performance value.
  • Supplier Collaboration and Innovation: Establish collaborative practices with preferred suppliers and stakeholders. Introduce supplier-enabled innovation for competitive advantage.
Skills & experienceTo be successful with your application, you’ll need to show that you meet the following essential criteria:
  • Degree-educated with a relevant post-graduate qualification (e.g., CIPS, RICS, MBA, MSC) OR equivalent knowledge/experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement, including supplier management and collaboration.
  • Proficient in stakeholder management and knowledgeable about key supplier management processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Skilled in negotiation, relationship development, and dispute resolution.
  • Problem-solving experience in large, complex organisations.
  • Familiarity with cross-functional collaboration.
  • Detail-oriented with a "completer finisher" mindset.
  • In-depth understanding of the Utilities market sector.
  • People and team management capabilities.
  • Full UK driving license.
