Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated Sports Teaching Assistant to join our team and contribute to ourstudents overall development.Position Overview: As a Sports Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Physical Education department. You will work closely with experienced teachers to deliver engaging and inspiring sports lessons to studentsacross various age groups and skill levels. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for those who are passionate about sports and education to make a meaningful impact on young lives.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and delivering sports and physical education lessons.
  • Support students in developing their skills and understanding of different sports.
  • Provide one-on-one and group coaching to help students reach their full potential.
  • Assist in organising and supervising sports events, tournaments, and extracurricular activities.
  • Maintain sports equipment and facilities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students participation and enjoyment in physical activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers and colleagues to create engaging lesson plans and resources.
  • Assist in assessing and tracking students progress and performance.
  • Provide general classroom support as needed.
Qualifications:
  • A passion for sports and physical education.
  • Relevant experience in coaching or working with students in a sports-related capacity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience and enthusiasm for working with young people.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations related to sports activities.
  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
