Job Description

The role is a newly create position which will act as effectively the no.2 to the FD on site at a £20m bespoke manfacturing business which is part of a wider £400m+ turnover group. The role will be be based in Warrington but the will be flexibility to be based from home as well. The business has a fantastic reputation and their products have been key to a lot of well known projects in the UK.The key elements to this position will be ensuring the reporting requirements of the business are adhered to such as

  • Production of monthly management accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Budgeting, forecasting
  • Variance analysis and KPI reporting
  • Carry out ad hoc analysis and reporting as required by the business
    • Other key elements to the role will be that this role will be the conduit between finance and operations within the business and as such other responsibilities include:
  • Business partner with other functions to achieve drive process improvements
  • Work closely with other business functions to achieve their goals
  • Communicate and challenge existing processes and procedures
  • Key element to this role is that this person must be able to substitue for the FD in key meetings when they are not present.
    • Person:
  • Must be an ambitious, driven and key team player
  • Successful candidate must be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA)
  • The successful candidate will have worked in a manufacturing/logistics/distribution or industrial environment previously
  • Have the ability to translate finance into operational insight and work with non finance to drive improvements
  • Confident to step into FDs position when needed
    • Pacakge:
  • Competitive salary on offer up to £45,000 plus benefits

  • Its likely this person will spend 2/3 days a week in the office and the rest from home.
