Job Description

The Trusts vision is high quality, safe healthcare and staff work together to provide excellent health care services acrossthe towns of Warrington, Runcorn (where Halton General Hospital is based), Widnes and the surrounding areas. We serve a population of 330,000 and employ 4,800 staff comprising 52 nationalities.The Role

  • Work closely with a range of Clinical Business Units and Corporate Services, playing a significant role in supporting delivery of the Trusts objectives in providing a high quality and patient focused service whilst demonstrating value for money.
  • Support the wider collaborative procurement initiatives across Cheshire and Merseyside with great opportunities for networking and further skills development.
  • Manage Procurement requirements on multiple categories from specification to award and contracts management.
  • Support on several procurement initiatives resulting from a range of national developments.
  • Ensure our patients and colleagues have the best procurement service possible and making a difference and having pride in our work is at the heart of what we do.
Who are you
  • Able to balance commercial and clinical considerations whilst being proficient in negotiation and influencing others
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels.
  • Full member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or equivalent, relevant experience.
  • A proven track record of delivering a wide variety of procurement projects within tight timescales along with proven problem-solving techniques.
  • Previous purchasing and contracting experience are essential, and you will be fully conversant with the latest Public Sector Procurement Rules.
