Job Description

CSP are currently recruiting Experienced Order Pickers on behalf of our client, a well-known & established leader in the logistics & distribution sectors.We are looking for committed candidates with a desire to find a long-term career path who can develop and grow within the company by taking part in their training and upskill programmes. This position is a temporary to permanent role, where you will beginas an order picker in one chamber such as ambient or chill but then receive training on all other departments as well as LLOP & FLT Reach trucks to become a multi-skilled operative.Initially, your role will include:

  • Picking orders by hand in a temperature controlled environment following a headset whilst driving a LLOP
  • Labelling items
  • Palletising and stacking your order to prevent damaged stock onto pallets or into cages
  • Relocating stock
  • Wrapping finished orders by hand or using the wrap machine
  • Following pick targets and set KPI’s
The ideal candidate will:
  • Be committed to the role long-term
  • Work well in a team
  • Have a desire to learn and progress within the company
  • Have experience in a similar environment - LLOP and headset experience is highly desirable
  • Have a reasonable level of written & spoken English
Please note that this role is working in a cold environment. This role does include heavy lifting (up to 25KG) and you will be required to work on your feet, walking around the warehouse for the entire shift so a reasonable level of fitness is necessary.You will also need to be able to pass a drug and alcohol test prior to starting with us on site.Our client offers multiple opportunities for progression within the team and also across other sites which are available to all staff.We have a number of shifts available:Nights:Monday to Friday 10pm-6am / 8pm-4amSunday to Thursday 10pm-6am / 8pm-4amThursday, Friday, Sunday & Monday 8pm-6am (4 x 10 hour shifts)Day/afternoon shifts:rotation shifts 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm. You will be required to work any 5 days on a rota basis across Sunday to Friday - 12 week rota will be providedPermanent afternoon shift 2pm-10pm where YOU can pick the 5 days you work between Sunday to Friday12noon-8pm 5 days a week on a rota between Sunday to Friday - 12 week rota will be providedThursday, Friday, Sunday & Monday 6am-4pm (4 x 10 hour shifts)Pay rates:Days: £12.69-£14.19Overtime: £17.76-£18.43Nights: £13.50-£15.52Overtime: £18.57-£19.77Other benefits:
