Job Description

Overview Are you an experienced VDA with aspirations to steer a department to success as part of the Aviva family Would you like to make a difference to the customer experience by doing the right thing when the customer needs you most and be a part of an award-winningorganisation who is going from strength to strength Responsibilities Responsible for the daily leadership of a team of Repair Consultants. Working as part of and supervising the team to deliver to our high values of customer service. Ensuring the team key measures and service level agreements are maintained. Reporting intothe Total Loss Operations Lead to embed and deliver the departments strategy.

  • Leading a team to deliver the business plan and to ensure the value proposition meets expectations
  • Assisting with sign off high-value cases in line with the Solus Way to deliver right first-time valuations to Aviva customers
  • Understanding repair methodology and using this to confirm total loss diagnosis
  • Using all available tools to calculate accurate and fair total loss settlement costs which are in line with Aviva technical standards and agree these costs with customers
  • Encouraging a collaborative working environment, which focuses on the customer and what matters to them
  • Identifying fraudulent activity through investigative practices
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with external suppliers and internal business areas
  • Promoting Solus & Aviva values, principles, goals, customer satisfaction and process improvement.
Qualifications Desirable qualifications, skills, and experience
  • Experience of working as a VDA within the motor repair industry
  • Current ATA / VDA and AQP accreditations
  • Member of either IMI / IRTE
  • Insurance Principles
  • Previous coaching and/or mentoring experience
  • Commercial awareness - building relationships with stakeholders, partners and third parties
  • Good working knowledge of computerised damage estimating systems, including Audatex
  • Customer service skills - experience of delivery high quality service to customers
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and where required be able to use own initiative.
  • Valid driving licence
