Job Description

Materials BuyerWarrington £27,000 - £30,000Calling all Buyers with experience in material procurement! Are you looking for a exciting Procurement role with a focus on strategic sourcing and category management This newly created vacancy sits within the established Procurement team of a successful business. You will be responsible for the end-to-end Procurement of an allocated category of products, including ongoing supplier and contract management. What will the role involve
  • Managing the procurement of raw materials within your category
  • Issuing tenders and analysing supplier responses
  • Analysing cost drivers and tracking relevant commodity prices
  • Negotiating prices and contractual terms with suppliers
  • Undertaking contract management and supplier relationship management activities
  • Delivering cost savings and added value within your category
  • Managing and developing internal and external stakeholder relationships
Ideal Skills and Experience
  • Relevant procurement experience, including tendering and contract negotiation
  • Experience of material procurement / commodity procurement
  • Strong relationship building / stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent analytical skills with good working knowledge of MS Excel
  • CIPS qualification, or a willingness to work towards this
