Job Description

Role- IT Support/ Security Analyst Length- 12 Months Location- Warrington, operate a Hybrid model - only required to be on site when required (2-3 times per month) Working with a local housing association based in Cheshire we are seeking to hire a IT Support/ Security Analyst, who will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of data and devices by using appropriate investigative and reporting toolswithin the Microsoft platform.Initiate testing against recommended best practise using third party tools, maintain the organisations security certifications and educating users on security issues.Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure all users are educated regarding the latest phishing and malware trends. Maintain a high-level user awareness and use simulated phishing campaigns to report on any weakness.
  • organise affective testing of security policies and procedures, both for external and internal objects. Report and remediate vulnerabilities and raise issues with manager if required.
  • Investigation of potential security breaches - work with the DPO on any security or potential security breaches and provide reports and evidence were necessary.
  • Perform second-line support for Infrastructure and Security Team
Key Skills Required:
  • Proven good customer service and communication skills (internal and external) demonstrating understanding and support whilst handling/resolving difficult situations or conflict.
  • Experience of working in an IT environment with relevant security exposure including extensive knowledge of firewall configuration, internet security protocols and other network security technology.
  • Experience in using and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 business applications and the Office 365 portal.
  • Identifying trends, problem solving and escalating where needed using all the tools in Defender for Endpoint/Cloud/Office 365, Azure Sentinel and Endpoint Manager (formerly InTune).
