Position: Instrument TechnicianLocation:North WestSalary: c.£40kThe Company:My client are an industrial systems integrator and the job will involve working with their market leading customers managing turnkey automation projects through our business.An exciting position has become available for a full-time Instrument Calibration Technician to join their friendly dynamic team.The Role:• You will be working with their team of highly skilled technicians carrying out project support, maintenance support and instrument calibrations across their wide portfolio of customers. • They are mainly based in the North West but on occasion travel across the UK. • Customers include Pharma, Chemical, Petrochemical, Food, Water, Waste Energy, Automotive etc.• Carry out instrument calibrations on a scheduled basis across many existing customers and contracts.• Populate and maintain internal calibration database.• At times you might be required to supplement customers own technical teams during shutdowns or high maintenance periods.• Liaising with clients and internal departments to help ensure the smooth running of calibration and service contracts.• Growing and managing long term relationships with their clients.• Support the commissioning team when required and to gain valuable experience to enable self-growth within the company.Requirements:• Demonstrate a good knowledge of instrumentation experience.• Demonstrate basic knowledge of PLCs and control panels.• Demonstrate basic PC competence (Excel, Word etc)• You must be willing to work solo or part of a team.• You must be flexible with working hours and weekend working when projects dictate.• Excellent client facing and internal communication skills.• You must have a current UK driving license and your own vehicle. (Expenses are additional to salary and generously reimbursed)Candidates should possess the following personal qualities• Friendly, mature and work as part of a team.• Confident, capable and able to work under own initiative.• Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines.• Flexible working.Required skills
