Job Description

Job Title: Insight Analyst Location: Warrington, United KingdomSalary: £18,000 - £25,000 per yearNow is an exciting time to join a large and experienced data team in the heart of Warrington as an Insight Analyst. The company are looking for someone to apply their passion for mathematics and statistics along with data within a high growth industry.The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator, hold a degree in a mathematics or statistics discipline (or a subject similar), love problem solving, enjoy analysing data using statistical methods.In this role you will undertake data analysis, statistical modelling and production of reports for internal and external stakeholder. You will be based in Warrington and will occasionally have to travel.Skills:

  • Skilled in using VBA and experience of deploying VBA in Excel.
  • knowledge in at least one statistical program: MATLAB, SAS, SPSS, PSPP, R and Python.
  • Experience with statistical modelling - able to run Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) on data using statistical methods.
  • Utilising marketing systems such as FastStats, Viper or similar for statistical analysis and reporting.
  • Confident communicator.
  • Ability to work towards tight deadlines and delivering on-time.
  • Use of statistical programs forecasting, descriptive or predictive modelling - examples including decision tree, cluster analysis or regression modelling.
  • Development of bespoke analytical, management and marketing reports based on client requirements.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and platforms at need.
    • Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of the following industry sectors: Retauk Charities, Catalogues, International Mailers
  • Knowledge of working databases, table relationships.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Querying, aggregating and transforming data using T-SQL.
