Head of Marketing and Communications - Nationwide (Regional Role) - £45k - £50k (negotiable for the right candidate) / 28 days holiday + bank, expenses paid, pension scheme, and other benefits.The Role: Head of Marketing & Communications• We are looking for a Head of Communication, Marketing & PR for this national strategic body that focuses on the advancement of skills in the science-based industries. You will be responsible for developing, implementing and driving member-focused marketing and communication strategies, as well as creating brand and product awareness. You will be involved with developing the corporate identity and manage the companys reputation with all key and senior stakeholders.• You will be executing a highly targeted and content-driven plan, which includes a variety of campaigns & PR duties across all communication channels including websites, audiovisual, social media, press and digital channels. You will develop and write content-rich materials for members and ensure the two key sector skills memberships (SIP & NSSG) are heard and understood. You will be involved in developing high-quality publications, take a lead with creative event management, organising and delivering key events and managing high public and media relations. • The successful candidate will develop influential relationships and alliances with other key partners, including Trade Organisations, Delivery Partners, Government Press Offices and other national stakeholders in the science industries and skills landscapes. You will also ensure that Membership has an appropriate suite of materials and high-quality publications, and collaborate with the communications team within the Nuclear Sector Deal office.• Working to provide high quality, customer-focussed operational and administrative support and keeping abreast of skills policy and other issues that impact on skills, you will ensure robust quality control processes for all communications, and manage the efficient and effective use of the marketing budget to support the Membership Business and Operational Plans.• A DBS check prior to commencement of role is required.Essential Requirements: Head of Marketing & Communications• Experience of working at both an operational and a strategic level, with a focus on translating plans into action on time and on budget• The ability to assimilate a range of information from different sources and develop a depth of understanding in order to communicate key insights• Demonstrable experience in development and execution of effective, customer-focused Marketing and Communications strategies on a large scale • Ability to negotiate priorities with a range of internal stakeholders, and make the business case for particular creative or communications approaches• Proven experience of building and sustaining relationships with members, delivery partners, Government representatives and other key stakeholders• Strong negotiator, influencer and problem solver with the ability to inspire trust and is solution focused• Degree qualified in Marketing and Communications or similar• Experienced in key event managementDesirables: Head of Marketing & Communications• Ideally a background in Communications and Marketing within Membership organisations• Knowledgeable across the education & skills sector - specifically Science / STEM and similarThe Employer: Head of Marketing & Communications• This long-standing and established specialist provider has been in operation now for the last 12 years and is continuing to develop and organically grow.
