Job Description

Were Brookson, a leading end-to-end compliance and workforce management platform for all freelancers and their hirers. Founded 25 years ago, today we are the leading provider in digital professional services to the flexible workforce, supportingin excess of £200m of labour per annum.As the Head of Finance Business Partnering you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Groups current and future financial P&L performance by managing a team of qualified and part-qualified accountants and reporting into the Group Finance Director.The role:

  • Responsible for the preparation and review of monthly management accounts providing insight on P&L and KPI trends and commentary on variances to plan.
  • Liaison with internal budget holders and other key stakeholders on management results and the commercial impact of divisional performance.
  • Responsible for the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle, including Group timetable, budget modelling, analysis and director / investor approval.
  • Responsible for production of the monthly Group Board pack for both the Operational Board and the Exec Board
  • Liaison with internal budget holders to develop appropriate KPIs and monitoring performance against those KPIs
  • Key point of contact for production of all financial business cases, ensuring a high degree of rigour is applied to all business cases with clearly articulated financial returns
  • Finance lead on all IT development projects and associated governance processes
  • Responsible for conducting post investment reviews on strategic projects completed
  • Ad-hoc financial support and advice to the business

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification
  • 5+ years post qualification
  • 2:1 degree level or above (or equivalent)
  • Practice background, ideally Big 4 although will consider comparable experience
  • Experience within a similar position
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent staff management skills
  • Strong planning and organisation skills essential
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated
  • Excellent IT skills including high level of proficiency in Excel
  • Experience of a Private Equity backed business environment (desirable)
  • Experience of Anaplan or Alteryx (desirable)
