This newly created role offers the successful candidate a blank canvas to implement their own processes and procedures. Reporting directly to the boardof directors, the role aims to strengthen financial control and provide insights for a business that has experienced phenomenal growth. Over the past three years, the companys turnover has grown from £2m to £22m.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to add significant value and contribute to the ongoing success and growth of the business. As a hands-on Controller, you will closely collaborate with the owners to drive the business forward, improve reporting,meet deadlines, and enhance financial visibility across the company.Key responsibilities include:* Producing month-end management accounts with P&L and balance sheet.* Analyzing and providing supporting commentary on sales and projects.* Budgeting and forecasting, including ongoing WIP accounting.* Compiling payroll data for the external provider.* Ensuring CIS, HMRC, and tax compliance and reporting.* Implementing a weekly flash report for the Directors.* Collaborating with senior leadership to identify cost savings and improve efficiency throughout the business.* Managing relationships with insurers and banks, including credit scoring and credit limits for key clients.* Overseeing the relationship with the external auditor and managing the annual process.* Working towards reducing month-end reporting timelines.* Implementing strategies to reduce wastage across the business.If you are excited about being part of a dynamic, rapidly changing, and fast-paced environment, this role could be the perfect fit for you.
