Spring Engineering have an exclusive opening for an experienced Field PLC Programmer Technician to join our clients organisation on a permanent basis.Experienced Service/Commissioning technicians or graduates looking for their first position will be considered.Our International client provide automated Packing and Pallatization lines to a variety of FMCG industries such as: Meat, Cereals, Pet Food, Comestics, Personal and Domestic Hygiene industries.Due to continued growth and success, they have an opening for Field Programmer/Technician to join their team covering Manchester, Liverpool and surrounding areas.ROLE OVERVIEW:Responsible of the Start-up the Machinery: assembly, set-up and programming, commissioning/troubleshooting and on-going support and service.JOB OBJECTIVE AND ASSESSMENTTo ensure the design, implementation, and start-up phases of the assigned projects,following the indications established by the project manager, and providing the maximumadded value in the performance of the tasks.The site will be assessed in terms of responsibility and contribution within the company.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, improve and update the PLC software.Follow up the testing of prototypes and commissioning of marketable equipment.Perform automation designs, using computer aided design/modeling software.Production and implementation of designs and test procedures.Test, evaluate, modify and re-test programs / designs.Writing reports and documentation.Technical adviceAnalyze and interpret the data.SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONRelevant Engineering: Industrial, Electronics, Industrial and Automatic, Computer Science,Mechatronics qualification of equivalentKnowledge of:PLC programming in structured language (codesys) and contact languageArtificial vision, C++ programming, Java ScriptServomotorsExperience in robotics and/or automation desirableExperience in a similar roleCustomer focused/orientatedFlexible/Cooperative Team Player REQUIREMENTSWillingness to travel Up to @ 90% based at client site - on occasional overnights away from home will be required.Availability to travel.Driving license Essential.Please apply on-line with up to date CV.Spring Engineering Solutions (a trading name of Roevin Management Services Limited) acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
