Consultant Radiologist x 1 Post Warrington & Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to offer outstanding opportunities for 1 full-time Consultant Radiologist with a specialist interest in Urogynaecological Imaging (less than full time contract would be considered).The Trust wishes to appoint 1 full-time Consultant Radiologist with experience and interest in Urogynaecological imaging to join the team of 17 Consultant Radiologists. The work will comprise of mainly general, cross-sectional reporting. There is scope for joining a team of Uro Radiologists contributing to the Urology MDTs, supporting development of Urology related cancer pathways. The applicant is expected to actively participate in the establishment of a local Gynae MDT, and develop closer links with the tertiary referral center based in Liverpool, to further improve the gynae imaging service.A full range of radiological services are available at WHHFT including Interventional Radiology, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, CT/MR, DEXA, Cardiac Catheter Suite and Breast services.There are 3 multi-slice CT Scanners, 2 MRI Scanners , a gamma/SPECT camera and a comprehensive multi-site ultrasound and plain radiography service. You will also be part of a 1:15 general on-call rota at Warrington Hospital. WHH is part of the Cheshire and Merseyside Radiology Network, with Carestream PACS and RIS systems installed. The collaboration enables the out of hours imaging and reporting to be supported by the on call hub, staffed by the trainees in the region. There may be also opportunities for home reporting.The Trust is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in association with the University of Liverpool and up to 6 Specialist trainees are attached to the department at a time. The Trust comprises three hospitals, Warrington (acute), Nightingale (non-acute) and the Captain Sir Tom Moore buildings (non-acute Orthopaedic and Imaging Unit) based at Halton.Warrington is located in a desirable part of Cheshire in the North West of England, equidistant from the vibrant cities of Manchester and Liverpool. These afford a variety of recreational, cultural, entertainment, retail and sporting/leisure opportunities to suit most interests. Beautiful countryside is easily accessible in the Lake District, Peak District and North Wales.
