Job Specification: Assistant Quantity SurveyorLocation: WarringtonSalary: Up to £30,000 DOEWe are a well-established main contractor seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Warrington. The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate with some relevant experience, demonstrating a keen interest in bothfit-out and new build projects.Key Responsibilities:- Project Cost Management:Assist in the preparation of cost plans and estimates.Review and manage project budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness.- Tendering and Procurement:Support the team in tendering processes.Assist in the procurement of subcontractor packages.- Variations and Claims:Assist in the assessment and management of variations.Contribute to the preparation and resolution of claims.- Project Documentation:Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.Assist in the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BoQs).- Project Types:Work on a 50/50 split between fit-out and new build projects.New build projects, including one-off bespoke homes, primarily located in the Northwest.Fit-out projects in London, occasionally requiring overnight stays.- Team Collaboration:Work within a small, collaborative team.Collaborate with senior team members to learn and contribute effectively.- Business Growth:Contribute to workload assessments.As workload increases, assist in the evaluation and potential recruitment of additional Quantity Surveyors.Qualifications and Skills:Recent graduate with a relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.Some practical experience in a Quantity Surveying role is desirable.Strong analytical and numerical skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Willingness to occasionally travel for work, including overnight stays.Benefits:Competitive salary up to £30,000, dependent on experience.Opportunities for professional development.Supportive working environment within a growing company.Time Recruitment Solutions Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.Required skills
