This is a well established engineering company in Ware that trades across the UK and nationally. The staff turnover is low and people like working here. There is free parking on site and you are close to the town centre, the train station and bus routes. The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 07.30 to 16.30 with 30 minutes unpaid break for lunch (13:00-13:30); Friday 07.30 to 12:30 - Total 39 Hours/week.You get 25 days holiday a year (plus bank holidays) and there is a discretionary bonus near Christmas most years. There is also access to a staff kitchen with an oven, a microwave, fridge and free coffee.This is a well established company based in Ware town centre. They are a mechanical engineering company who refurbish and design specialist solutions for other industrial companies and are well known in this sector. They have people who can train you in their specific field and the career path would be well laid out even though this is within the SME sector. You will be looking to be a Product Engineerwithin 2 years and longer term prospects for advancement to managerial positions within the company.You should be a recent graduate from this year or maybe last year with a degree in engineering, mechanical preferably but anything that has the core of mechanical engineering such as Aerospace Engineering or such like. You must be articulate and have good communication skills for this role.In summary, the role will involve shadowing experienced technical staff to support the companies technical and ongoing product development objectives. Producing engineering drawings to instruction within 2D CAD or 3D SolidWorks drafting environment. Mathematical and trigonometry calculations. Building an in-depth knowledge and understanding of polymer processing applications to become a recognized expert within the organization and beyond. Any tasks reasonably requested which is within the employee’s capability and competency.Primary Areas of Responsibility:• Produce fully detailed manufacturing drawings and liaise with sub supplier for drawing approvals.• Review orders receive and complete the work sheet giving clear direction to workshop for scope of work to be carried out.• Work closely with General Manger and Product Engineers to provide technical solutions for design and manufacture of new processing components.• Will be required to visit customers both in UK and overseas to discuss/review engineering and design issues.• Carry out in-house and on-site measuring for Extrusion screws and barrels using appropriate engineering measurement tools, Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, Electronic Bore Measurement devices etc.• Where manufacturing or supplier deviation reports are raised for components being supplied - establishing appropriate corrective action and agreeing with works manager and inspector.Ideal Qualifications and Experience:• BSc or equivalent qualification in appropriate engineering discipline.• Knowledge and understanding of engineering component manufacturing.• Demonstratable ability of producing accurate detail mechanical engineering drawings.Personal Attributes:• Ability and willingness to learn new systems and engineering procedures.• Must be IT literate and be familiar with 2d and 3D Drafting software• Good communication and relationship building skills• Be able to work within tight schedules and manage a number of tasks at the same time• Driving license for driving in UK desirableSo are you ready to join a well established engineering company Do you want to be considered for this role If so then send in your CV for immediate consideration.
