Job Description

Support Worker in Special Needs SchoolAre you passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs and disabilitiesIf so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a support worker in school.About usWe have a friendly and inclusive Special Needs school, with a diverse and vibrant community of learners. We aim to provide a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment where every child can thrive and achieve their full potential.About the roleAs a support worker in school, you will work closely with the class teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support for pupils with various needs, such as autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and Challenging Behaviour. Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting pupils with their learning activities, both in the classroom and outside
  • Helping pupils to develop their social and emotional skills and positive behaviour.
  • Participating in staff meetings and training sessions
Type: Full Time (Term Time Only)Time: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PMAbout youTo be successful in this role, you will need to have:
  • Right to Work in the UK (No Sponsorships provided) (Candidates with Skilled Worker Visa Position are not eligible for the position)
  • Applicants with experience asSupport WorkerorHealthcare Assistantcan apply for the position too. Prior experience in education not mandatory.
  • Experience working with people with Learning Disability and Challenging Behaviour
  • Enhanced Child and AdultDBS (We can help you apply for it, if you dont have already.)
