Are you an Accounts Senior / Client Manager, with at least 5 years experience in a small or medium sized practice firm, looking to join an independent practice based in Ware, Herts where you can carry out a high profile role acting as the number 2 in a small yet growing firm of Chartered Accountants Are you also looking for a firm which will offer Flexi hours and the ability to work from home one to two days a week Are you keen to work in a small yet growing practice in a mixed general practice role with a September or October 2020 start date Are you keen to work for a modern and forward thinking practice where you will gain exposure to a variety of clients, including from the creative, property, construction and media sectors Are you keen to continue to learn, develop new skills and work in a firm where you can progress in the future Reporting directly to Partner level, your role will be varied and will include preparing statutory accounts from start to finish, management accounts, corporation tax returns, personal tax returns, VAT returns and reviewing bookkeeping assignments prepared by someone else. You will be the first point of contact for all clients be expected to manage and plan all client work in the office to allow the Partner more time to get involved with business development. There will be a very large advisory element to your role as this firm likes to offer all its clients extra advice after they have carried out compliance work.To be considered for this new role you must have at least 5 years of experience working in a general practice role in a small to medium sized practice firm. Professional qualifications aren’t important so you can either be ACA / ACCA qualified or qualified by experience. You must have experience of preparing statutory accounts, tax returns, management accounts and VAT and currently be operating either as an Accounts Senior or a Client Manager. Experience reviewing work would also be an advantage. Experience of a wide range of software packages, including CCH would be an advantage. You must also be a car driver and be able to drive around the SG12 postcode and East Hertfordshire area.
