A Maths Teacher is needed in a Secondary School in South West London.This Maths Teacher role will be part time (Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays).For now, the Maths Teacher position is a Maternity Cover post, running up to the October Half Term. However, there is scope for it to be extended after this.Experience of teaching GCSE Maths, in line with the National Curriculum, will be essential in order to be considered for this Maths Teacher position.Standard responsibilities will apply to this Maths Teacher post. This includes but is not limited to; planning lessons, assessing pupil progress and attending meetings.The rates of pay for this Maths Teacher position will be between £150 to £250 a day, depending on the experiences and qualifications of each applicant.The SchoolA high successful All-Girls Academy. They are an 11 to 19 Comprehensive School, with a mixed Sixth Form.Ofsted has rated the school as Good across the board. It is also 1 of only 2 Secondary Schools in London and 1 of 16 in the UK, to have been awarded the highest level of the UNICEF Rights Respecting School Award: Level 2.They hold Artsmark Gold, Sportsmark and Healthy Schools status, as well as SMSC Quality Mark and International Schools Mark.The school places high importance on the development of Curriculum, Creativity, Character, Community, Convention.In terms of facilities, the school underwent renovations in 2012, to inspire both staff and pupils. It won the RIBA Sterling Prize in 2015. This is the UKs leading architecture award.RequirementsYou are encouraged to apply if you are a newly qualified Maths Teacher or experienced Maths Teacher.Applications are also welcome if youre a British trained Maths Teacher or overseas trained Maths Teacher.All applicants must have the following in order to be shortlisted for this Maths Teacher role:
  • Right to work in the UK
  • UK QTS or an overseas equivalent
  • Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
  • Experience of teaching as a Maths Teacher in UK schools
