• To pick, load and despatch daily sales orders to meet all customer requirements on time and in full

• Operate within work instructions, risk assessments, Safe systems of work and Standard Operating Procedures

• Demonstrate a flexible approach when moving between the various tasks within the despatch operation, including order picking, decanting, loading, unloading and product control; being open and willing to learn and develop new skills

• Minimise damage to product, removing and replacing any products with visual damage ensuring customer receives a quality product

• Alert the Line Manager of any shortages or issues affecting customer orders

• Achieve the performance targets set; measured by the WMS and other supporting systems and measures

• Work individually and as part of a team to meet distribution deadlines

• Maintain a clean and a safe environment adhering to "Clean As You Go" Policy, meeting the agreed standards in hygiene and housekeeping

• Ensure, as required, the efficient and safe use of Forklift Trucks and other MHE (Manual Handling Equipment), adhering to internal procedures for maintenance and use. Having a Forklift Truck / FLT Licence is desirable. Although not essential

• Reporting of defects, faults or potential hazards to immediate Supervisor / Manager in a prompt and timely manner

• Lead by example and demonstrate the Safety First attitude and approach and adhere to all Site Standards including legislative requirements

• Achieving all performance targets set i.e., picking rate and downtime

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience working within a similar environment

• Work individually and as part of a team to focus and share good working practices

• Drive your personal development, ensuring your knowledge and skills are utilised and developed, demonstrating a positive can do attitude to your work and always reflecting the Companys values

• Having a Forklift Truck / FLT Licence is desirable. Although not essential
