Job Description

LTS are working with a SEND school in Walthamstow. They require 2 x LSAs with a psychology background to help support students with ASD.Students are primary aged with varying levels of ability. Both positions are due to start ASAP on a full time basis, Monday to Friday 08:30 to 15:30 for the remainder of the academic year.We are looking for outgoing and passionate candidates to inspire young learners; who can bring out the best of their abilities. The LSAs will be supporting students one to one or in groups helping to keep them focused and engaged during tasks and activities.Experience working with those with Special Needs is desirable, however not essential. Additional training can be provided.The Salary range for the LSAs is between £80 - £90 per dayThe role of Learning Support Assistant will be rewarding, yet challenging. You will be fully supported by a highly-skilled friendly staff team although you will be expected to work on your own initiative at times to support the students the best way youcan.Expectations:

  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of learning activities and tasks
  • Using individualised strategies to support the student to access the curriculum
  • Promoting personal, social, emotional and mental health development
  • Supervising the students during non-classroom time
  • Working closely with the staff team to identify any issues and develop and implement appropriate solutions
