Job Description

Reed HR are currently working alongside an Educational Establishment based in East London who are recruiting for an experienced HR Business Partner for initially 3 months.This role is hybrid, so there is anexpectation for the applicant to come into the office 3/4 days a week.Key Purpose of JobThe post holder will support the Head of HR to:

  • Work with leaders across to Trust to support and drive all people related processes e.g. Performance management, workforce planning
  • Ensure that the organisation is statutorily compliant in all HR Practice.
  • Embed a framework of best practice which proactively responds to the organisational priorities.
  • Create and maintain an organisation where staff want work and feel encouraged to grow and continuously develop in their profession.
  • Provide HR solutions which are responsive, balanced, fair and compassionate to the requirements of our employees and managers.
  • Maintain and grow partnerships with other stakeholders supporting the ethos of the Trust.
  • Embed a development model which enables managers to confidentially respond to HR issues in accordance with best practice.
  • Deputise for the Head of HR
Specific Duties Main ResponsibilitiesThe main duties and responsibilities are to:
  • Provide comprehensive, relevant and efficient HR guidance and advice to the BusinessLeaders and Members of Executive Leadership Team to enable the organisation to respond to organisational priorities.
  • Seek out pragmatic solutions and make recommendations to solve difficult and/or complex issues.
  • Ensure that HR guidance and advice reflects and reinforces employment law, good practice, and the provision of a high-quality service.
  • Provide advice and guidance on terms and conditions for both support staff and teachers.
  • Provide guidance and support to Managers to assist in reorganisations and restructures, supporting changes which reinforce and sustain companyimprovement.
  • Participate in the development of job descriptions, and pay appeals.
  • Maintain effective relationships with Trade Unions and Professional Associations, helping both managers and employees to find appropriate resolutions.
  • Support or undertake investigations, attend hearings and appeals to present relevant management information.
  • Support managers at formal stages of the sickness management procedure
  • Research, review, develop and consult on new and existing policies, procedures and other relevant documentation to enable consistent management of HR issues in accordance with legislation, best practice, with consideration for the organisational priorities.
  • Assist all HR aspects of TUPE and change management
  • Lead on delegated HR Projects.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the procedures and processes for safeguarding the welfare of children and actively promote best practice.
  • Actively challenge and seek to eliminate any directly discriminatory practices or behaviours and actively support inclusion.
  • To lead on Recruitment and selection
