1:1 Year 6 SEMH Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Mentor Required- IslingtonA beautiful and charming 1 form entry Primary school in Islington are seeking an experienced SEND TA to join their superstar team and work 1:1 with a child in Year 6 with SEMH/Challenging behaviour ASAP. This is a long term role running at least until theend of the academic year with the potential to be continued on after.This is a very rewarding position working 1:1 with a young boy in Year 6. A candidate with experience working with SEND, SEMH and challenging behaviour would be preferred.The child enjoys sports and chess.The role involves general learning support, both in and outside of the classroom, as required. Full integration and inclusion in to the class environment is fully encouraged and supported. The ideal candidate will have recent experience working in a primaryschool and experience supporting children with behavioural issues or at least have the qualities whcih would be useful in this context. If you lack experience but are willing to learn and interested in supporting vulnerable children, this is also the rolefor you. This is a full time long term role starting in January and will continue through to the end of the Academic year.If you have experience with ASC and PMLD students or have training/knowledge of PECs, Team Teach, Makaton, ABA, Hoist, Manuel handling, Personal Care, this will aid you in your placement at the school.The School:The school is located near Kings Cross and Angel station so it is extremely accessible.
