Our belief is that in a changing industry, we must be a company that can change withit.For more information about the Delta Group, please visit:https://Role OverviewFollowing some new client wins we are looking to grow our Structural Design team in both our Waltham Cross and Melksham sites. The Senior Structural Designer role ensures that we deliver the highest standards of design work for our clients through both designingand providing advice and instruction to the team, contributing to the company’s reputation for our structural creativity and adding value to clients’ businesses through design ideas.Primary ObjectivesHelp the team deliver to brief, on time and on budget.

  • Assemble colour prototypes for senior designer sign off.
  • Take photographs of displays ready for portfolio & assembly instructions.
  • Arrange & palletise materials for production prototypes daily.
  • Establish and maintain a professional rapport with all internal and external customers, internal teams and suppliers over the production of material within agreed deadlines and specification.
  • Ensure accurate and up to date recording of time/activities on projects.
  • Work closely with senior members of the team to ensure all work meets the specified brief.
  • Perform archiving, and computer housekeeping on a regular basis and keep on top of daily workshop housekeeping within areas you have been working in.
  • Produce full legible assembly instructions to Delta standard.
  • Have a good understanding of design principles and retailer requirements across all factions of the business.
  • Work closely with project management and the creative team to ensure all work meets the specified brief.
  • To consider the requirements of the structure at each point in its use including but not limited to; transport to its first point of use, assembly, merchandising, (transporting when loaded (if it is a pre-filled unit), shopping, replenishment and recycling.Then to design the unit accordingly.
  • Be actively involved with training junior members of the team. Depending on department requirements you may be assigned as a mentor.
  • To fully understand the company’s manufacturing capabilities, help other members get a better understanding.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Extensive POS structural design experience
  • Minimum 5 years CAD experience in Artios or Kasemake preferred
  • Experience of packages such as Strata, Cinema 4D and the Adobe suite would be an advantage
  • A knowledge of the Display market within the Brand and Retailer environments would be an advantage
  • Well organised with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to remain organised and maintain a clear focus on the task in hand
  • Team player with the ability to interact and cooperate well with others
