Job Description

NPI Engineer£40K + Pension + Sick pay + Parking + Life Insurance + Lots of Progression Opportunities + Early finish on Friday(Located near Walsall - commutable from Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Cannock, West Bromwich, Norton Canes, Codsall)Are you an NPI or Manufacturing Engineer, with experience in both CNC Milling and Turning Capabilities, looking to work for a leading provider of precision engineering servicesThis company are looking to hire somebody that will engineer new product through the business using Lean and best practise methodoloy.You will manage NPI and ensure components are delivered on time and within budget.You will also support the operational team in providing a quality service to clients by utilising your skills in programming 5 axis CNC Milling and Turning machines.Your role will be:

  • To manage NPI and ensure that components are delivered on time and within budget.
  • To manage the product from concept and quotation to production-handover.
  • To plan, coordinate, implement and finalise projects according to specifications and deadlines, whilst maintaining the project performance.
  • To manage the introduction of new manufacturing capability into the workshop.
  • To quote job requests for lead-time and costs
To apply you should have:
  • NPI experience within a similar industry
  • Experience of manufacturing engineering in both CNC Milling and Turning capabilities, up to 5 axis.
  • High level of CNC programming competency in Fanuc Heidenhain languages
  • Use of 3D modelling, experience with Solidworks and VISI software.
  • Offline programming, familiarity with VISI Cam package highly desired.
  • Knowledge of tooling and fixtures in addition to lean manufacturing principles.
