Job Description

Job Title: SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: WallsendSalary Scale: £75.00£90.00 per dayRole: Full time/ Part timeStart Date: ImmediatelyGSL Education are seeking SEN Teaching Assistant for our client schools located acrossWallsend. The schools are seeking individuals to support their students with ASC, MLD, SLCN and Mental Health.As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will possess the following:

  • At least one year of SEN support experience in a school setting
  • Being a talented, dedicated and highly motivated teacher;
  • To support children with emotional and behavioural difficulties to enable them to effectively access the curriculum;
  • Whom can demonstrate high levels of care, concern and ambition for our children;
  • Whom have the experience of serving a diverse student community including learners withASCandSEMH;
  • Who is a positive team player with a good sense of humour;
  • Who is committed to raising attainment and accelerating progress;
  • Experience supporting SEN students and delivering activities on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Experience in assessing, evaluating, and reporting on pupil progress
  • Comfortable to support children and young people on a 1: 1 and small groups
Applicants are required to have the following:
  • Energetic and patient with strong classroom management skills
  • Hold the Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application through GSL Education
