Job Description

Salary: Band 9 - £36,083 - £41,853 per annumThe role is agile based between home and Middle Engine LaneHours/Contract: Fixed term / Secondment - Maternity cover until November 2024 Reduced hours - 34hpwThe roleHere at Northumbria Police, we think our region is amazing! It takes a great deal of people from different backgrounds, with diverse skills and experience to serve our force area effectively, think you have what it takes to help us make a difference Thiscould be the perfect time for you to join us in our Corporate Development Team as a Evaluation and Quality Assurance Adviser.This is an exciting role where you will respond to requests for research and evaluation on a wide range of subjects to improve policing practice. You will work with business leads to develop research ideas, design and undertake fieldwork, conduct quantitativeand qualitative analysis and present findings both verbally and in writing to a range of audiences.What you’ll doYou will support evidence based policing, creating research evidence to inform decision-making and improve policing practice.You will lead on quality assurance work, assessing standards of activity and making recommendations for improvement and change.What you’ll bringWe are looking for an experienced individual who will lead on improvement by design and delivery through robust research and evaluation. This will drive force performance and achieve value for money.You will have a degree or the equivalent in a related subject with at least 2 years of relevant work experience and demonstrate the aptitude to lead on planning, managing and coordinating internal inspections and evaluations. You will have the ability toand experience of assimilating complex information to make valuable recommendations and judgements.You will need these important qualities:

  • The ability to prioritise own workload to achieve targets
