IRS is delighted to support our client, who operates in the renewable energy sector and is located in the Wallsend area. Currently, they are seeking a Buyer to contribute to their long-term projects. Salary: £45 - £50k dependant on experience. Temp to Perm position. Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00 hrs - 16:00 hrs, Friday 07:00 hrs - 15:30 hrs (1-hour unpaid meal break) The Role: - Support the Supply Chain manager in achieving the objectives of the department in a safe sustainable manner whilst driving mutual benefit. - Place Purchase Orders for both goods and services. - Attend meetings both internal and external. - Ensure a close cooperation with internal customers to ensure expectations are met and joint working collaboration strategies are developed. - Implement Supplier strategies to ensure long-term cost-effective supply of materials and services. - Spot business trends that can be challenged and implemented into value driven strategies. - Support the business in internal adherence to good procurement practices. Desirable attributes - Completed Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) qualification or commenced qualification. - Experience of working in a project driven business - Experience in the use of ERP - Spoken Flemish. - Fluent in the use of all of Office packages ie word, excel, power point, outlook.
