About the RoleThe Software QA team is a friendly and fast-paced place to work. Playing a key role within the overall IT Development strategy, the team operate modern software development practices across a number of delivery teams. The Softwareteam are responsible forevaluating the quality of developed software, whilst continually contributing to the innovation and improvement of our products and services. As part of our Software Quality Assurance community, you will help to deliver new products and services as well as enhancements to our existing product suite. Working within one of our multi-disciplinary delivery teams, your contribution will help us to facilitateour growth ambitions, bringing benefits and value to customers, brokers, clients and colleagues.You will be tasked with the delivery of testing activities within an iterative Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), with an emphasis on high quality, the purpose of the role is to design, build, test and deploy effective test automation solutions.As an experienced Tester, you will apply appropriate automation technologies to meet short, medium and long-term business objectives, whilst being an advocate for driving automated testing efforts across the team.Our core applications are developed and delivered using ASP.Net, C#, MVC, Web Forms, Web API, WCF, Microsoft Visual Studio, CI/CD with TFS, Git, Octopus Deploy, Azure and Microsoft SQL ServeAbout YouWere looking for a knowledgeable Automation Test Engineer, with a passion for delivering high quality software, alongside a positive approach to continuous improvement. You will possess the ability to challenge effectively and constructively, whilst actingas a champion to the automation of testing (and wider activities).You will have a strong knowledge of automation testing techniques and methodologies, alongside a good understanding of automated testing tools (Selenium, Specflow etc). You will have sound knowledge of agile project methodologies and have a focus on attentionto detail.
