Job Description

  • Supporting up to 4 male/female individuals living here at the residential service
  • To support the Service Manager to provide leadership to colleagues within the team and deputise for the Service Manager where designated. The Team Coordinator will undertake tasks as designated in a professional manner, reflecting the values of Consensus and in a person-centred way.
  • Work within the team taking on specific responsibilities around rota management to ensure the needs of people supported are met fully. The person should ensure comprehensive records are maintained and updated regularly.
  • The Team Coordinator should model Consensus’ values in all that they do. They should provide support to colleagues and give clearly defined objectives and direction within their work efforts. To guide and mentor the staff team to enable them to help people supported achieve their dreams and aspirations, as well as basic care and support needs.
  • Enable supported individuals to lead valued and fulfilling lives and to maximise their independence to enable them to achieve their full potential, ensuring that the service is run in an efficient and responsible manner, balancing the maximisation of profitability with the ethos of excellent quality.

  • About You/Skills & Experience Required:
  • To join us, you’ll need to have plenty of experience working with those with learning disabilities or complex behaviours
  • You will have an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care. Support and training towards Level 4 and 5 is available
  • A good knowledge of relevant H&S regulations
  • You’ll certainly have strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Confident, flexible and efficient, you’re happy to work on a shift basis, and, where required, to be on call
