Job Description

Location: Wallington (SM6) & Morden (SM4) Duration: Long TermPay: £85-£100 (depending on experience)Start Date: ASAPContract: Monday - Friday (Full-Time)About Us: Prospero Teaching is a leading education recruitment agency committed to connecting dedicated professionals with rewarding opportunities in mainstream and the Special Educational Needs sector. We work closely with schools and educational institutions toprovide high-quality support staff, making a positive impact on the lives of students with special needs.As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) under the guidance of the classroom teacher.
  • Support students in their academic and social development, fostering an inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
  • Supporting students with various complex needs including, ASD, PMLD, SEMH
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs would be a preference.
  • Knowledge of various learning difficulties and strategies to support them.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with SEN students.
  • An understanding of safeguarding procedures.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide professional related references*
