Logistics CoordinatorSalary 48kTemp to permworking week is 37 hours but we offer flexi time so workers can start anytime between 7am and 9am (with 45 mins for lunch to be taken between 12pm and 2pm) working 8.25 hours per day. This equates to 33 per hours MonThurs with only 4 hours to work ona Fridayusually between 8am and 12pm or 9am1pm so Friday afternoons we are shutLogistics Co-ordinatorJob SummaryThe role of Logistics Co-ordinator will be to respond to customer requests for order progress reports and advise customers of delays resulting in the late delivery of their orders and the revised delivery dates. They will arrange packing, transport and completeall the documentary requirements of finished orders so that they reach their destination safely and within the agreed timescale.Essential FunctionsAmongst other duties, the main responsibilities of the job are: To ensure that all complete orders are transported either using internal or external sources at a minimum cost to ensure their quick and safe arrival at their destination. Control all external packing requirements Ensure that all company and customer dispatch / shipping and invoicing documentary requirements are complied with, particularly in respect of letters of credit, and that these are presented correctly and in time for collection Creation and maintenance of export files Provide the sales department with estimated packing and shipping costs for UK or export sales quotations Create, issue and maintain export invoices, statements and shipping service; ensuring freight charges are included as appropriate Collate information regarding the progress of all orders and ensure all administration within the function is kept up to date Respond to customer progress requests either verbally or in writing as required. Advise customers of delivery date delays in a timely fashion Progress orders to meet customer delivery dates as requested Raise necessary dispatch paperwork as required Make arrangements for P.O.D.s and organise transport when required Experience of chamber of commerce documents and certificates of origin an advantage. Provide the sales department with estimated packing and shipping costs for UKQualifications, SkillsAs well as demonstrable experience in a similar role, the role requires the below skills: Resourceful and well organized Deep understanding of the principles of logistics Ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent analytical, critical thinking and strategic skills Results orientated Attention to detail Handling critical issues Capable of making important and strategic decisions. Problem solving Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proven ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders to deliver high standard to tight timeframes Experience working with external agencies.
