Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Day Care Manager to join our clients Day Care Service in Wallington.Day Care ManagerWallington, Sutton£33,00037.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday)About the organisationThey are a not-for-profit charity dedicated to providing excellent care with a family feel and they have been supporting older people for over 100 years. Theydo this by delivering services personalised to individual needs. the charity provides care home and day care services for older people, as well as grants for older people in financial difficulty.The RoleReporting to the Head of Day Care Services, you will manage and support all of the day care staff at their Wallington Day Care Centre including volunteers and oversee the day to day management of the day care service including administration and budget duties.In liaison with the Head of Day Care Services the role will market a range of new and flexible services to private clients, in line with their strategic growth plans.You will ensure the provision of high-quality care by working creatively with clients and their carers/families to promote independence and to reduce the impact of disability or illness on their lives.You will uphold and embody the charitys values and promote a culture of respect, equality, diversity and inclusivity for staff, residents, families and all who have contact with the charity. You will also champion their wellbeing pledge, training and developmentof all their care home staff.About youThe ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a level 4 or 5 Qualification in Health and Social Care.
  • Have previous experience as Deputy/Management and leading a team within a care setting.
  • Be able to supervise and manage the team and take the initiative so excellent communication and team building skills are required.
  • You will be passionate about the wellbeing of older people and have a good knowledge and understanding of current care practice and legislation with a commitment to person-centred care.
  • You will be willing to roll your sleeves up and help out to ensure the service runs when there is unforeseen staff absence or special events.
