SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Chatham, Kent
Salary: £80 per day
Job Type: Full-time

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive SEN primary school team. The role involves providing one-to-one support to children with Special Educational Needs, assisting in their learning, and promoting a positiveand inclusive classroom environment. Day to Day of the role:

Work closely with the class teacher to support students with SEN.
Provide one-to-one assistance to students during lessons and activities.
Adapt teaching materials to meet the individual needs of students.
Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with other staff members and parents to ensure student progress and well-being.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, Care Assistant, or personal experience caring for children is highly desirable.
Graduates with some experience working with children (e.g., youth work, mentoring, tutoring) will also be considered.
A willingness to learn and adapt to the specific needs of SEN students.
Appropriate qualifications and training are advantageous.
