Job Description

Year 1 Teaching Assistant - Wakefield Become a part of our dedicated team at Accelerate Teaching, where were committed to developing and nurturing young minds in education across Wakefield Primary Schools. Were excited to offer a brilliant opportunity for a Teaching Assistant (TA) specialisingin Year 1 within Key Stage One (KS1). We are particularly interested in speaking with TAs with a strong background in phonics, specifically Letters and Sounds. If you are a passionate TA and have experience in early literacy development and education, we inviteyou to apply for this TA position.As a TA, your primary focus will be on supporting pupils in Year 1 in Primary Schools in Wakefield. Your expertise in phonics, specifically Letters and Sounds, will be instrumental in helping these young learners build a strong foundation in reading andwriting. This is a position with an immediate start date.Requirements:

  • GCSEs in Maths and English grade A-C or equivalent
  • CACHE Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • A genuine passion for working with young learners and a commitment to their growth.
  • A solid background in phonics, with expertise in Letters and Sounds.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
